The middle stretch of the Provo River runs from the Jordanelle Reservoir through Heber Valley and into Deer Creek Reservoir. It's considered a blue ribbon fishery holding over 3,000 fish per mile and has become one of the best trout streams in the lower 48 states. The abundance of trout and consistent river temperatures makes it an outstanding year-round fishery.
Mirror Lake is a picturesque natural lake in the Uinta Mountains. Its name comes from the near-perfect reflection of the surrounding mountains and trees as seen from a roadside overlook or the shore. Its constant water level helps to stabilize the natural aquatic insect life, making it a popular fishery. Mirror Lake is best known for its rainbow trout, brook trout and tiger trout.
Situated in Wasatch County, roughly 65 miles southeast of Salt Lake City, Strawberry Reservoir is one of Utah's largest freshwater reservoirs, as well as a premiere ice fishing destination! Strawberry is especially known for its quality cutthroat and rainbow trout. Its reputation as a prime fishing destination in the West draws anglers year-round. The reservoir is also home to various wildlife species, including mule deer, elk, and various bird species.
Nestled within the Manti-La Sal National Forest in Carbon County, Scofield Reservoir is smaller than Strawberry Reservoir, yet still offers ample space for adventure. It’s best known for its trout fishing, particularly rainbow, cutthroat trout, tiger trout and tiger musky. Scofield’s higher altitude can make it cooler, even in the summer. It's a popular winter destination for ice fishing and snow sports.
